Pictures
So I know that our blog is lacking in pictures (aside from the large one at the top) so I will post some at some point. I just wanted to let you know that. In other pictures news, we still haven't gotten our proofs back from the photographer and it has been just over 3 weeks. We were informed that it takes 3 weeks when I called to ask where they were and they also told me that it is taking longer than usual because of all the weddings. BS!!! I have seen other photographs posted that were taken a week after my wedding! Grrrr. I can't wait to be done with this vendor. I wish that I didn't give them all the money up front. It should be a balance due upon delivery of services if you ask me.
It's official!
I'm a McGuire! Social Security says so and so does my temporary paper driver license! I needed both those documents to change my name at the bank, so now I can deposit a check that was written out to just Michelle McGuire! On a side note, the banks were happy to deposit checks to Cody and Michelle McGuire, but not to just me. IF I decide to write a check to someone as a wedding gift, I will be sure to write it in her maiden name so that she wouldn't have to worry about it. Did any of you married ladies encounter this problem?
You know how easy it is to go to a wedding or just know that your friend is getting married and on their wedding day, you go to your cell phone and delete their maiden name and enter their husband's last name and then try to remember to call them by their new last name after calling them by their old one for years? I kinda wish this name changing business were that easy!
While I am excited to become a McGuire, I have to learn how to sign it. I practiced it a long time ago, but stopped because I wasn't taking classes anymore and haven't really had to write anything since the no job/school thing. My driver's license signature is going to look like crap, I just know it! I think I ran out of room on the signature pad! The lady that was helping me didn't say anything about it, so we'll see in a couple weeks! Also, when I think of my name in my head, it's easy to say "Michelle McGuire" but when I say it out loud, I go right back to Buecker! It will probably take more than just the three weeks that I've had to adjust to it ;) Yay, McGuires!

Rain, rain ... keep it coming!
It's weird how when you become a homeowner, just how much you appreciate the rain. Our lawn looks pretty good, thanks to Cody and all his efforts to keep it that way. He will go outside around 9:30pm or so and hand water the lawn. He takes a beer out there with him while he does it, so it's a win-win situation. He loves having a yard to take care of! I like being able to plant things, but because I was so busy with school and with us saving for the wedding, we just didn't have enough money to pay for the flowers and greenery that I want to put in! Now that I have time and we have the funds, we are in a drought and it would take lots of water to keep them alive. So, I'm putting my flower beds on hold until the fall - unless it continues raining, of course!
Just my imagination...
Haha! So Cody tells me this morning that I kneed him a couple times last night while in bed! I started laughing and informed him that yes, I did in fact knee him, but it was because he wasn't giving me enough space to roll over. I also told him that at one point I kicked him and he woke up and said, "Ow!" I was apparently having a very vivid imagination while trying to sleep and pictured myself kicking this guy, Robert. Robert is the soon-to-be ex-husband of Ingrid, a friend of my family's. He is being the most horrible person ever during this divorce. I actually went to one of their trials on Tuesday to support Ingrid and he was just awful on the witness stand. He lost the motion for that hearing! Yay! Anyway, I was picturing him fighting me with knives and I had knives to protect myself, too. Instead I chose to kick him! Apparently I kicked Cody in real life. Sorry, hun! I stopped thinking about it after that and actually fell asleep. Boy does my mind go to weird places while I'm trying to catch some zzzzzz's!

I want to eat something!
I would practically eat anything right now! I must not be doing the cleansing correctly. I will try something a little different tomorrow and see if that works. I'm thinking it could be because I sat in a court room all day and could really sip anything in there since drinks weren't allowed. I didn't know that going into the room, but now I do. I bet that is what prevented me from doing it properly!

Master Cleanse
Ok, so Christina and I decided shortly before my wedding that we needed to cleanse our bodies. Tonight is when the cleansing is beginning. This is going to be hard. 10 days of fasting... so hard, but I can do it. My body needs it. I hope Cody will be supportive because he doesn't understand why I'm doing it. Christina and I, along with her cousin are going to be successful. We can make it all 10 days. We just have to get through the first 3, first!
The Bat Man Movie
So I watched The Dark Knight last night at the IMAX. It was pretty cool to watch it there. Nothing in 3-D or anything, but everything was bigger and I just love the sound at that theater. I won't go into detail about the movie 'cause I feel like everyone is entitled to their own opinion on it and I don't want to hype something up as being amazing and then it not be for you OR say that it wasn't that great when it was amazing for you. I do recommend watching it so that you can talk about it with someone around the water cooler.

Happy birthday, Zack!
So I went toobing today with the hubster, three Chi Phi's and a friend of theirs. It turns out that it was one of the Chi Phi's birthday! We didn't know this until about 2 hours into the float. The guys had a grand 'ol time! I'm glad I was there to drive some of them (including my husband) home! Good news is that I only got burned near my armpits and the back of my neck. I will need to make sure to apply more liberally there next time!

Woo-hoo!
So, I was layed off from my job that I had for almost 2 years in April. I was sad to go, but I was able to focus on school, plan our wedding, help some family friends get organized before re-opening their business, AND hang out with friends. During that time, I also started looking for a job (but not too hard). I had planned to do the job search in June so that I would have enough time to work on my resume, send it out, have interviews, and then start my job a week after Cody and I got married. I didn't want to start a new job and then ask for a week off as soon as I was hired, so to me it was a perfect plan!
Well, the plan was a success! In June, a friend of mine informed me that her office was hiring and that I should send in my resume. Well, two interviews and two personality tests later, they offered the job to me! I am very excited about this. It is essentially a receptionist position for Keller Williams International. I will work (beginning July 28) at their headquarters! I am very nervous about this job because being a receptionist is waaaaaay more than answering phones and greeting people. At my last job, I was a back-up receptionist when our regular receptionist had doctor appointments, vacation or lunch and I know that this will be a tough job. I am looking forward to starting something new again. Is it bad that I have had jobs in so many random fields other than my degree? I would like to consider myself well rounded and that I can pretty much learn and do anything if I put myself out there.
I think the thing that I will miss most about not having a job for the past 3 1/2 months is about Cody. Every morning, right before he leaves for work, he wakes me up with a kiss on the cheek and tells me "bye", that he loves me, and he hopes I have a good day. Now we will have to adjust to getting up at the same time and getting ready for work together. Yay! I can't wait to start this new phase of our life!
My Sweetness
Last night as I was brushing my hair before going out to Posse, Cody said, "You look so pretty when you brush your hair." It was such a simple statement, but it was so sweet and made me smile to myself and thank God for him. He knows just what to say to make me feel better about myself probably without realizing what he is doing.

What's in a name?
For a while now, I have wanted to blog about what's been going on with me/us. Here it is, 2 weeks after our wedding and I'm actually doing it! The funny thing is that what has been holding me back is trying to pick out a URL that was unique to us! So, here is the explanation of Zeecee and Jofe (pronounced yo-fee).
One day while I was working at the front desk at the vet clinic, I had a client come in and she was quite talkative! Somehow we started talking about the meaning of words and she said that in Hebrew or Yiddish (my memory is already failing me) Zeecee meant beautiful. She told me that I was zeecee! What a compliment! She also told me that I was jofe which means nice. Basically it stuck with me. At that time, Cody and I didn't really have any pet names for each other and I was trying to think of something cute and creative. Eureka! The lady helped me out! When I saw Cody later that day, I told him about what the lady had said and he agreed with her. I became Zeecee and he became Jofe. We were pretty good about calling each other that for a short while, but reverted back to our usual "Hun" or "Beb". Occasionally he'll remember and call me Zeecee. He's so sweet for remembering something that was so small of a thing a couple years ago, but meant so much to me!
