Woo-hoo!

So, I was layed off from my job that I had for almost 2 years in April.  I was sad to go, but I was able to focus on school, plan our wedding, help some family friends get organized before re-opening their business, AND hang out with friends.  During that time, I also started looking for a job (but not too hard).  I had planned to do the job search in June so that I would have enough time to work on my resume, send it out, have interviews, and then start my job a week after Cody and I got married.  I didn't want to start a new job and then ask for a week off as soon as I was hired, so to me it was a perfect plan!

Well, the plan was a success!  In June, a friend of mine informed me that her office was hiring and that I should send in my resume.  Well, two interviews and two personality tests later, they offered the job to me!  I am very excited about this.  It is essentially a receptionist position for Keller Williams International.  I will work (beginning July 28) at their headquarters! I am very nervous about this job because being a receptionist is waaaaaay more than answering phones and greeting people.  At my last job, I was a back-up receptionist when our regular receptionist had doctor appointments, vacation or lunch and I know that this will be a tough job.  I am looking forward to starting something new again.  Is it bad that I have had jobs in so many random fields other than my degree?  I would like to consider myself well rounded and that I can pretty much learn and do anything if I put myself out there.

I think the thing that I will miss most about not having a job for the past 3 1/2 months is about Cody.  Every morning, right before he leaves for work, he wakes me up with a kiss on the cheek and tells me "bye", that he loves me, and he hopes I have a good day.  Now we will have to adjust to getting up at the same time and getting ready for work together.  Yay!  I can't wait to start this new phase of our life!
